Wow, President Bush, thats just cool. But let me take this moment to boast.

When I was senior in high school, Govenor George W. Bush spoke in the very gymnasium where I played basketball for 4 years. He sat in the library before his speech, the same library where I used to read "Seventeen" and "Sports Illustrated." He walked down the same hall that I walked down for 4 years.

Plus I got to shake his hand after his speech.

But I'm pretty sure that he isn't going to come to Sioux Center, Iowa for my graduation. I guess Calvin has won-and I'm jealous.

I met Samuel L. in Hawaii.

"Nobody's gonna hurt anybody. We're gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what's Fonzie like? Come on Yolanda what's Fonzie like?"

Ya, I think Im going to see that. I hope to visit my ex-boyfriend who goes to Calvin while Im there as well as go to a women's rights/homosexuals in office gathering. Coolest graduation speech I got to hear was Author James W. Huston's at Emmanuel Faith which was basically a half an hour plug about his new book, Another Lame Imitation Tom Clancy Novel

One can look at this news two different ways. On the negative end, all of the Michigan people will be bragging about this event for centuries to come. But on the positive side, it will replace the old claim to fame: "Did you know that American Pie was filmed in Michigan?!?! Yeah! That high school was in Michigan!!"

"You know that hot dog place on American Pie, you know, the doggie ears place, yeah, that's Yesterdog in Grand Rapids! What? You've never been to yesterdog? Are you kidding me? You've GOT to GO there! They have the best hot dogs around and it's totally a hole in the wall place. It's awesome."

I'm beginning to take offense to this post that turned into a "bash-Michigan" blog.

I've been to California, and yes, its wondeful and everything you guys say it is, congratulations.

And yes, American Pie does take place in Michigan. But I don't brag about that. "Road to Perdition" with Tom Hanks also had portions filmed in Michigan and that movie is much better than American Pie.

I also feel bad that I was in the informant that tipped Johnny off to the President speaking at Calvin's graduation that led to this animosity towards our sister college.

I'm glad that Jim thinks California is wondeful. I think Jim's wondeful - thanks Jim, for brightening my day.

Man, I can't believe I forgot Yesterdog! How something so nationally popular managed to slip my mind is beyond me.

And sorry, Jim, I never meant to offend you. I only meant to offend your pathetic peers. They give you good people a bad name. By the way, could you pass me the oar?

p.s. - yesterdog is not good. I've had better hot dogs in 2nd grade CCS hot lunch. And it's not like they get to meet Tia and Tamara.

Shoot, can I be next with the 21 comment undertaking.

I went to Michigan once. But for some reason seeing an old classmate of mine covering his ceiling with pictures of castles kinda turned me off. I hate Michigan now.

PS. N-Word: I love you, and right now Im reading Huck Finn for english and thinking about you almost every delightful page.

Bill - something is wrong with Trixy? Tara just died less than a year ago - I can't handle another loss. Please tell me she's OK.

N-word - MI sucks, get over it - I'm sorry you're from there and so is everyone else. And Jim, Aaron's right, please pass the oar.

Eric - You will be next to reach the 21 comment mark, but right now, it's my turn.

Luke - I'm sorry to hear about Cooper's cousins getting boyfriends.

Aaron - Poke Cooper in the belly when you see him in Italy.

Cooper - Use those banana hands and squeeze Aaron. Man, look at those mitts.

Seriously, its lame to reach 20 comments by having your friend's friend post, don't you think? Maybe thats just the mature Michigan person in me talking.

Kudos to JT for all the comments, glad I could be a part of this joyful occasion.

Now let me put a shameful plug in here for my blog. Its not quite like Mr. Beaver's Den, but that is my goal, to emulate Cooper in everyway possible.
