Welcome to Teaching Math
Inspired by the stupidity of people portrayed in other blogs, I thought I would give you a few quotes from my last math class. Keep in mind that these are fellow teachers (females) who will go on to teach your sons and daughters.
"What is area?"
"How do I find the area of a rectangle if the sides are 2 and 6?"
"I don't understand what squared means."
"So what part of the circle is the diameter?"
No, geometry was not introduced today. We are actually on volume of cylinders and such (6th grade math). Some reason the girl forgot the entire 2nd grade math that we went over last week.

Being an education major sounds like a double edged sword to me, eh JT? You have to put up with that stupidity, yet you get to hear all of the latest engagements, break-ups, and hook-ups before they even happen. What do you do? Well I'll tell you what you do. Stay away from female elementary education majors.
I was happy that you pointed out they were females. You should switch your major to Philosophy, all the majors here are bearded, fat rejects who think they know a lot about Kant and Nietzsche, lets just say Friday night dates are not as dull as they used to be.
I work with a girl who is a teacher and who supplements her income by being a waitress. She is 24 and she teaches third grade, and every single day I have to sit there and listen while she tells me about all these trivial things she has to do tomorrow. She is almost completely clueless, but she's hot, so I wouldn't mind if she taught my third grader.
PS- I'm going to post more comments on everyone's blogs until I can become part of the "Friends" list.
you're on your way to making that list Joshua E. Koonce
